Bennett Haeberle joined the WDRB news team in January of 2007.
The Louisville native is glad to return to cover news in the city where he grew up. Prior to joining WDRB, Haeberle spent three years working for WTVQ-TV in Lexington, KY, where he worked as a reporter/photographer covering stories like the crash and aftermath of Comair Flight 5191. While in college, he also interned at WRTV-TV in Indianapolis.
Bennett says his interest in becoming a journalist stemmed from his exposure to state politics at a young age. His grandfather was a former public service commissioner for the state.
Bennett received his B.A. in journalism and history from Indiana University in 2003. The St. X grad says he hopes to become better reacquainted with the city he says has improved in the years he's been gone.
