Bill Francis was born in Louisville and graduated from St. Xavier High School. Bill graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in political science. He began his broadcast career at WAVE radio and TV in the 1970s and worked for WLKY-TV in the 1980s. Bill has been a part of the Fox 41 news team since 1990.
Bill's career has spanned three decades, during which he has covered such stories as the volatile Jefferson County busing riots of the 1970s, several national political conventions and visits to the U.S. by Pope John Paul II.
Bill is married and has two children.
