New information on murder of African immigrant

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- New information has surfaced about what may have led to the murder of an African immigrant earlier this year.  Court records indicate Jason Majors had a history of harassing the wife of the man he's accused of killing.

Police say Majors shot and killed Karenzo Audace in August of this year in the Park Hill Housing Projects.  Recently released court documents show Majors had been sending Audace's wife love letters, gifts, and a large sum of money.

Majors' attorney Derwin Webb believes this shows his client may not be competent to stand trial:  "He is going to be evaluated for his competency to stand trial and after all those things come back, we'll make a decision or where our defense should be."

The competency evaluation is expected to be back in six weeks.
