LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Toyota and the Jefferson Community Technical College are strengthening their partnership.

T-Ten is a program that's been in place at JCTC for several years and prepares students to be certified Toyota and Lexus technicians.

The response from students has been so great the automaker announced it's expanding -- covering six states including Kentucky and Indiana.

But that's not all -- Toyota has donated nearly $1 million in the form of new cars and equipment.

Dr. Tony Newberry, the President and CEO of JCTC, says, "We now have a fleet of 25-plus Toyota and Lexus automobiles as well as other technology, and this ensures that our students train on the very latest equipment and technology."

The program gives students real world experience, putting them to work in dealerships to give them the best preparation for a career when they graduate.
