LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- GE's Appliance Division is growing, and that's good news for people looking for work in Kentuckiana. Company officials say they are looking to fill 480 manufacturing positions at Appliance Park in the next few weeks.
There's one important note: don't call or show up in person. Kim Freeman, the spokeswoman for GE Appliances & Lighting, says they do not have paper applications so you must apply online.
GE will start accepting online applications on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 6:30 a.m. through 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30 -- or until they receive a total of 6,000 new applications, whichever comes first.
The starting rate for the production positions is $13 per hour, plus benefits including healthcare and retirement savings plans.
To apply, visit http://www.selectapplication.com. Anyone who has applied for a position at GE in the past will need to re-apply at the website to be considered.
