Customers camp out for new Chik-Fil-A to open
LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The drive-thru of a new Chick-Fil-A in Louisville has turned into a campground. That's because customers are waiting for the new location to open Thursday morning.
The first 100 people in line at the restaurant on Hurstbourne Parkway near Taylorsville Road win free Chick-Fil-A for a year. More than 200 people showed up, so the store had to have a lottery for the sought-after 100 spots. Those include Rick Razor, who said he'd heard about such promotions and that friends had taken part in previous ones.
On the inside, this Chick-fil-A is a little different than others in our area. Owner-operator Jeff Carrico says, "Our kitchen is newly designed, so it's designed for maximum thru-put to serve our customers efficiently and fast. Our interior decor is new as well -- some features within the dining area that are new and unique to Chik-Fil-A."
There's also more outdoor dining space with room for about 30 people.
