LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Actress and comedian Lily Tomlin is getting a Kentucky honor.  Thursday morning, she was inducted into the Kentucky Walk of Legends.

Similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Walk of Legends will serve as a permanent public display of achievement in the film industry.  She placed her hand prints and footprints in the sidewalk at One Riverfront Plaza on Main Street.

The Walk of Fame will also be made up of other Kentucky actors, musicians, directors, and producers.  Tomlin is the first of several to be added to the list.

"I pretty much spend half my life here in the Paducah area, I've got relatives in Louisville, lucky enough to see them last night...have a big heart place here in Kentucky."

Tomlin was born in Detroit.  Her parents moved there from Paducah during the Great Depression.
