Search for missing cave explorer scaled back

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The search for a missing cave explorer in southern Indiana is being scaled back.  A conservation officer says about 50 volunteers and emergency workers have found no sign of 25-year-old Kevin Eve.

They searched numerous caves and rugged terrain in the Harrison-Crawford State Forest.

He hasn't been seen since last weekend.  The Georgetown man's car was found Monday at the forest near Leavenworth.

Officials say some state employees will still be in the area, but there will be no large scale search on Friday.
