LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Sullivan University is making more room for students to live on campus.  Thursday morning, school officials cut the ribbon on the new West Wing at Gardiner Pointe Residence Hall.

With 54 additional rooms, the university has the ability to house more than 500 students on campus.

The building was first converted from a Holiday Inn Hotel to a dorm in 2009.  The new wing cost $2.5 million to build.

The new wing was built to be eco-friendly and includes solar powered water heaters.
