LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A judge is considering whether to move the trial of a man charged in connection with killing a Terre Haute police officer.

Officer Brent Long was shot and killed in July while trying to serve a warrant.

A defense attorney for 24-year-old Charles Elkins told a judge that he didn't think his client could get a fair trial in that county because of public outrage over the officer's death.

Elkins and four others are charged with lying to police by saying that Shaun Seeley wasn't in the apartment building where officers were searching for him.

Seeley is accused of shooting Long, then killing himself.
