LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say it takes more than a Crown Victoria and a couple of BB guns to make a man into a cop.

On Saturday night, 26-year-old Mark Stradley, Jr. learned that the hard way.

Police say they were conducting a traffic stop in the 5400 block of Valley Station Road, near Dixie Highway, when Stradley pulled up in a Ford Crown Victoria. He allegedly told officers that he worked for the Louisville Metro Police Department, and asked if they needed any help.

He allowed officers to search his vehicle, and police say they found two loaded BB guns under the seat, a mag flashlight, a hat and jacket with the word "security" on it, a duty belt and a holster for the BB guns.

Stradley also allegedly had a silver security badge in the fold-out portion of his wallet. Police say the badge was made to look similar to the type of badges police carry.

Stradley was charged with impersonating a peace officer and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
