LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Louisville is putting its mark on the World Series.  Louisville Slugger started making bats today for some of the Texas Rangers and Saint Louis Cardinals players.

Louisville Slugger has made bats for players in every World Series since the very first fall classic in 1903.  More than half of major league baseball players use the Louisville Slugger.

Chuck Schupp, Director of Pro Baseball Sales, says, "Through the playoff rounds they've actually ordered these bats, and between talking to them and text messaging them we know exactly what they want."

The company also makes black souvenir bats for everyone on the team.  Anyone can purchase them and have their name put on it.

Game 1 of the World Series starts Wednesday night at 8, and you can see it on WDRB.
