Lawmakers to tour Indiana State Fair stage collapse site

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- For the first time since the deadly Indiana State Fair stage collapse, a panel of lawmakers will tour the fairgrounds to learn more about the collapse and the investigations into it.

Strong winds blew the stage onto fans in August, killing seven people waiting to see a concert.

Workers started cleaning up the wreckage this week, moving it to a warehouse where it can be studied.

Payouts to victims and adjustments to the state's legal liability could be debated by lawmakers during the next session in January.
