LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a man may have gotten away with shoplifting at Walmart the first time, but on his second visit, the law was ready for him.

According to an arrest report, it started on Sept. 23, when 28-year-old Andrew Lax walked into the Walmart in the 100 block of Outer Loop, near New Cut Road. Police say he took a number of DVDs, hid them and walked out of the store without paying for them.

Police say a woman at the store tried to stop him, but was unable to catch him before he could escape.

Roughly a week later, police say Lax was back.

According to the arrest warrant, Lax again tried to take merchandise, but this time store employees were able to stop him. They were also allegedly able to identify him via video surveillance.

The total value of the property Lax allegedly took exceeded $500, according to the arrest warrant.

He was arrested by Louisville Metro Police and charged with theft.
