LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Demonstrators chant for workers' rights at Kentucky's first Trader Joe's.

Dozens protested at the newly opened health food store today in support of farm workers. The group supports the Coalition of Immokalee Worker's, which is largely made up of tomato pickers.

Many companies, like Burger King, Taco Bell, and McDonald's, have made agreements with the coalition on labor reform. However, protestors say one company has so far refused to join in the reforms.

"Because unfortunately Trader Joe's is one of the companies that refuses to join the movement to pay an extra penny a pound so that farm workers can have a liveable wage and can be guaranteed decent working conditions," says protestor Clifton Kirkpatrick.

Trader Joe's officially opened for business Friday morning.
