LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Jerry Abramson says he'll be the most active lieutenant governor Kentuckians have ever seen.

The former Louisville mayor and lieutenant governor-elect says the large margin of victory in last week's election shows that people are sick of political fighting in Frankfort.

"I'm not going up there to retire," Abramson said Monday.  "I'm not going there to kick back.  I'll be very active in the first several months with the legislature, but even more so, active in the future in terms of economic development, working with businesses to grow, working to attract new businesses in the community."

He says even though spending is tight, it's a priority to invest in Kentucky's future.  That means items such as roads, bridges, and education will stay in the budget.
