LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- On Wednesday afternoon, WDRB News viewers from Louisville and southern Indiana reported hearing mysterious booming noises.

The mystery was short-lived. A spokeswoman for Fort Knox told WDRB News that the noise was caused by a unit out of Fort Campbell conducting training with large-caliber weaponry at Fort Knox, using 105 Millimeter Towed Howitzers.
