LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Jefferson County Public Schools says 6,500 out of 7,000 student test results were delivered to the wrong address.

The results were for the 8th grade ACT Explore test, which is the first is a series of exams to determine whether a student is ready for college.

JCPS says it uses a vendor, United Mail, to match the student reports with their addresses and mail them to parents.  The school system says it has not yet identified the source of the problem.

Schools are asking parents to destroy an incorrect report if they receive one.  It says the correct reports are "forthcoming."  JCPS says it will not mail the correct reports until it has identified and fixed the problem, and that it regrets any inconvenience it has caused parents.
