LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they arrested a woman outside of Phoenix Hill Tavern who claimed to be a lawyer and verbally threatened police.

It happened early Thursday morning on Baxter Avenue, near East Broadway.

According to an arrest report, 30-year-old Courtney King was fighting with tavern security and, "causing alarm to the public," when police arrived. When officers tried to restrain her, she allegedly began fighting with them as well.

Police say that, during the scuffle, an officer's flashlight dropped to the ground and was stolen by an unknown suspect.

According to the arrest report, King allegedly told police, "You are going to...die. I'm a lawyer. You can Google me. You are dead. I work at a law firm in Indianapolis."

Officers say King was, "unsteady on [her] feet with bloodshot eyes and smelled heavily of alcohol."

Police say when King was placed in the back of the police car, she tried to kick out the window and made additional "death threats" to police.

She was arrested and charged with, among other things, disorderly conduct, alcohol intoxication, resisting arrest, assault and terroristic threatening.
