LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Louisville's mayor says he had a productive trip to the Detroit Auto show.  Mayor Greg Fischer says, "We wanted to work with some of our customers from the city.  Obviously, already having their automotive presence here and growing, obviously that's Ford, and understand where they are going with their products and see how we can be a better service provider to them."

Fischer, along with Lexington's mayor, joined Governor Steve Beshear in Detroit on Tuesday.  The mayor says they were able to understand where the industry is headed in terms of design and future jobs.

One of the things he said they focused on was the team partnership between Louisville and Lexington and making it a manufacturing capital.  Fischer says it was a great trip to solidify Louisville's presence as one of the great auto cities in the country.
