LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The threat of snowy weather led several school districts, including JCPS, to close early Thursday. But JCPS schools opened on time Friday.
JCPS officials made the decision early Friday to open without delays, although schools in several surrounding counties were closed or on a delayed schedule.
Louisville Metro Public Works crews worked through the night cleaning roads. Kentucky and Indiana transportation officials say their crews also worked well into the night.
The snow came down Thursday afternoon, but a quick drop in temperatures may be causing ice on the roadways.
Most roads were clear Friday.
