LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Hardin County man who admitted to killing his parents will spend at least the next 20 years behind bars.

Erik Buggeland was sentenced this morning to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 20 years.

After claiming he was mentally ill, Buggeland pleaded guilty last month to charges of murder, robbery and theft in the death of his parents Terje and Margaret Buggeland.

The couple was found dead in their home last September.
