POLICE: Man calls in bomb threat to his own church

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Police say the person who called in a bomb threat to Southeast Christian Church was one of the congregation's own members.

Michael Schad pleaded not guilty to charges of terroristic threatening Wednesday morning.

Police say he told them he put bombs in Southeast Christian Church, where he's a member, and Lampton Baptist Church.

Officers didn't find anything.

Schad's attorney says his client is taking medication for bipolar disorder.

Schad was released from jail on the condition that he visit the VA Hospital and stay away from Southeast.
