Producer Rico Capodagli's Cheesy Bacon Explosion


2lbs Thick cut bacon

2lbs Ground Italian Sausage

1 Bottle of favorite BBQ sauce

1/2lb shredded cheddar cheese

Favorite BBQ seasoning


Tightly weave bacon into a 6x6 in square.

Sprinkle weave with BBQ seasoning.

Then take sausage and spread evenly across the bacon weave.

Fry up remaining bacon to tenderness you prefer.

Take the cooked bacon and spread it across the sausage mattress.

Cover bacon with cheese and BBQ sauce and seasoning.

Roll the sausage tightly, keeping all of the bacon and cheese inside of it.

Then tightly roll bacon weave around the sausage log.

Cover with more seasoning.

Bake in the oven for 1.5-hours at 375 degrees or in a smoker at 250 degrees for 2hours.

Internal temperature should be at 160 degrees.

Once done cover with remaining BBQ sauce and enjoy.
