Taco Cheese Balls by Kroger Chef Pete

Taco Cheese Balls by Kroger Chef Pete

12 1 oz. Hot Pork Sausage Patties

6 Cubes of Smoked Gouda

6 Cubes of Sharp Cheddar Cheese

12oz. Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips

½ t. Each of Granulated onion, garlic, smoked paprika and cumin

¼ t. Ground Black Pepper

1 t. Chili Powder

In a food processor add the tortilla chips. Grind for about 30 seconds.

In a medium bowl, combine all the spices.

Mix well with the chips.

Press the sausage patty round and flat. Put a piece of the cheese in the center and roll the sausage around to form a ball.

Roll the meatballs in the ground tortilla chips.

Place on a sheet pan.

Bake at 325 degrees about 5 to 8 minutes until golden brown. Do not overcook or all the cheese will melt out.

Serve with sour cream, guacamole and salsa.
