LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)-- Mayor Greg Fischer will begin interviewing five finalists this week to determine who will be Louisville's next police chief.

The finalists are Yvette Gentry, Vincent Robinson, Rick Sanders, Glen Skeens, and Steve Conrad.

Gentry and Robinson already work for LMPD.

The Mayor's spokesperson says 16 people applied for the job, before it was narrowed to 5 finalists.

A Phoenix, Arizona, news site has posted an article stating that Glendale Police Chief Steve Conrad has been selected for the job.

But Mayor Fischer's spokesperson says the Arizona media inaccurately reported that information, and that no decision has been made yet.
