LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The family that owns Holiday World is taking another step toward re-opening Kentucky Kingdom.

Members of the Koch family have formed a new company to work out leasing the old Kentucky Kingdom property from the Kentucky State Fair Board.

They want to re-open the park in 2013, and they want to do it without using any public money.

Kentucky Kingdom closed in 2009 after a dispute between the operator and the Fair Board.  Fights over funding have kept it closed since then.
