LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A Vine Grove woman is shot early Wednesday morning, and her husband surrenders to police hours later.
Kentucky State Police say 34-year-old Toni Lawhorn was shot once in the stomach at 4:20 a.m. She went to a neighbor's house and called 911.
Police say they arrived at the house and that Toni Lawhorn's husband, 55-year-old Terry Lawhorn, shot at them. After talking for several hours to Terry Lawhorn, he surrendered and was arrested at 9:08 a.m. He was taken to the Meade County Jail.
Toni Hawhorn went to a Louisville hospital for surgery and is in intensive care.
