LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Congressman John Yarmuth spent Tuesday morning spreading Valentine's Day cheer.  He was at Louisville's VA Hospital delivering valentines made by local school children to veterans.

He also talked about President Obama's budget, which was unveiled Monday.  Yarmuth says President Obama's plan gets a handle on the deficit, but also invests in infrastructure improvements and education:  "We can't stop doing that, or we're going to continue to fall behind other countries in terms of leadership and new technologies and new industries."

Republicans have called the budget proposal a bunch of budget tricks that do nothing to help the deficit.
