LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman is living in fear after a neighbor allegedly involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend threatened her because she called police. It happened on Feb. 18 in apartments in the 1200 block of South Second Street.
According to the arrest report, 38-year-old Ronnie P. McCracken made the threat during the evening hours of Feb. 18. after the woman, who lives in an apartment above McCracken, called police when she heard a commotion and McCracken's girlfriend shouting for help. The victim told police the girlfriend ran from the apartment with McCracken chasing after her.
The woman also told police that she had noticed a puppy running around the apartments and was told by neighbors that McCracken had kicked it out of the apartment. When McCracken's girlfriend retrieved the puppy, witnesses say McCracken told her to put it down or he would kill it. According to the arrest warrant, McCracken and his girlfriend got into a car with the puppy, where McCracken reportedly kicked it again.
When police arrived, the woman told officers what happened and McCracken allegedly told her to shut up.
The woman who called police says McCracken has been violent with his girlfriend in the past and she's worried that he will try to harm her for calling police after he allegedly said: "I'm going to get you."
McCracken now faces several charges, including domestic violence, unlawful imprisonment, disorderly conduct, alcohol intoxication, cruelty to animals and retaliating against a participant in the legal process.
The puppy was taken to the Humane Society.
