Indiana Senate to take up smoking ban

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The debate over a statewide smoking ban in Indiana is expected to light up Tuesday.  The full Senate will take up the bill approved by a Senate panel last week.

The latest version excludes casinos, VFW lodges, and tobacco and cigar stores from the ban, but all bars and restaurants would be forced to go smoke-free in 18 months.

Senators will debate whether to remove some exemptions or add new ones to the bill.
