New Hope Services, Clark County Red Cross help Tornado Victims

Posted: Updated:

New Hope Services is partnering with the Clark County Red Cross to assist victims of last Friday's tornados.

The Clark County Red Cross has approved the New To You Thrift Stores in Charlestown and Clarksville as donation points for people to drop off food, clothing, furniture, or other essential items for tornado victims from last week's storms.

In addition, the New To You Stores have provided the Red Cross with vouchers that they are distributing to storm victims based upon their level of need. People will then be able to use their vouchers at store locations to purchase clothing, furniture, and other essential items.

"At New Hope we want to do everything we can to help our community and people in need" said James Bosley, President and CEO of New Hope Services. "We work every day to provide services responsive to individual needs and when the need in our community is as great as it is right now we must do our part to help these families recover and offer assistance in any way we can."

To donate items please bring them to the New To You Stores in Clarksville at 1150 Lewis and Clark Parkway, or to the Charlestown store at 1103 Market Street. The New To You Stores are also in need of volunteers to help sort through donations. To volunteer or if you have any questions please call either (812) 206-2641 or (812) 256-2172.
