Kentucky Derby signs changed at Churchill Downs

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- It's a sure sign Kentucky Derby 138 is right around the corner -- the signs were officially changed Tuesday morning at Churchill Downs to get ready for the big race.

Workers take care of this task every spring, updating the numbers that show the time span of the Kentucky Derby.  You see it between the twin spires overlooking the track.

It started in 1875.  Derby Day is just 46 days away, on May 5th.
