LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a 2-vehicle crash in Oldham County early Tuesday.
It happened at 6:30 a.m. in the 5700 block of Hwy. 146 according to a news release from Oldham County Officer Mike Head. That's where police say a white Oldsmobile traveling eastbound crossed the center line and struck a white Dodge van traveling in the opposite direction.
The female driver of the Oldsmobile, 64-year-old Linda Smith of Crestwood, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van, 48-year-old William L. Buntyn, was taken to University Hospital where he was listed in serious condition.
Highway 146 between Buckner and Crestwood was shut down until around 11 a.m. while crews cleared the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Oldham County Police at 502-222-1300.
