Trouble waking up? Try the world's most annoying alarm clock

Posted: Updated:

HOBOKEN, N.J. (AP) -- It could be the world's most exasperating alarm clock.

A 25-year-old New Jersey man has created a clock that can only be stopped by getting out of bed. No snooze button. If you unplug it, a battery takes over. No resetting the alarm.

The only way to make it stop is to go into another room and punch the day's date into a telephone-style keypad.

Engineer Paul Sammut says he started working on the gadget because it was hard for him to get up and get to work on time after college. The Hoboken resident uses it every day.

A friend suggested he try selling the clocks. Sammut has formed a company and already has more than 400 orders for the clocks, which sell for $350.
