LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky's NCAA basketball championship trophy is going on a tour around the state, and coach John Calipari will meet fans at some of the stops.
Kentucky won its eighth national title by beating Kansas on April 2.
Calipari will take the trophy to eastern Kentucky on Thursday and then on to central and western Kentucky on Friday. Sites include the Kroger in Ashland, Pikeville's Expo Center, the Old Capital Annex in Frankfort and Kroger stores in Elizabethtown, Owensboro and Paducah. At each stop, the coach will speak to fans and take questions.
The trophy will also be on display at two Verizon Wireless stores in Lexington and Louisville on Saturday.
