Louisville Slugger creates bats for 100th anniversary of Fenway Park

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Louisville Slugger is helping swing in a milestone at the oldest ball park in Major League Baseball.  Special bats are being made for members of the Boston Red Sox to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park game Friday versus the New York Yankees.

The bats have the old 1912 Hillerich and Bradsby logo along with the player's name.  Rick Redman of Louisville Slugger says, "It's significant for us because we've been around for 128 years -- official bat of MLB -- number one bat in MLB -- we take great pride in that and we've been involved in every single game that's ever been played in Fenway Park."

About a dozen players will be using those bats.
