We have a full field of 20 horses entered for Saturday's 138th running of the Kentucky Derby...plus one also eligible. Here is how they will break
Daddy Long Legs will start from the rail...the one spot nobody wanted...the UAE Derby winner is 30-1. Opitmizer...just added yesterday is 50-1. Florida Derby winner Take Charge Indy is 15-1. Union Rags the second choice at 9-2 from the four hole. And Dullahan is 8-1 for trainer Dale Romans from post five.
The Bob Baffert-trained Bodemeister is the top choice in the morning line at 4-1. Rousing Sermon is 50-1. Creative Cause 12-1 from the 8. Trinniberg expected to be on the lead is 50-1...and Daddy Nose Best is 15-1 for Steve Asmussen.
Alpha is in the eleven at 15-1...Prospective 30-1...Went the Day Well for last year's derby winning connections is 20-1. Hansen's connections drew a sigh of relief getting the 14 rather than the 1 as the end of the draw...he's 10-1 and Gemologist is the third choice at 6-1.
The other Todd Pletcher trainee, El Padrino is right next door at 20-1. Done Talking is 50-1...Sabercat 30-1...I'll Have Another, the Santa Anita Derby winner is 12-1 from the 19...and Liaison will start from the outside at 50-1.
If there are any scratches between now and 9:00 am Friday...My Adonis would get in.
Here's is some reaction to the draw.
