LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- If you can't attend the Kentucky Derby for one reason or another, the Kentucky Oaks is your next best choice. And some would argue that in many ways, it's better.
That's because the Oaks has become the day Louisville residents take their turn at the track, a day before it's overrun from celebrities and high rollers from all over the country.
While this year's crowd didn't appear to be record-breaking, it was a bit on the gloomy side with overcast skies ready to erupt in a downpour at any moment.
