LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The mother of a Louisville teenager who was shot to death last year is hoping to put a stop to violence.
Family and friends hosted a vigil Sunday to remember 19-year-old Frank Garrett Coleman.
He was shot on Woodlawn Avenue last May.
Police arrested 21-year-old Robert Norris and charged him with murder soon after.
At the time, his family told us they believe Coleman was shot over a drug deal.
His mother says it's hard to move on.
"Pure agony. I lost my son and I guess that's why I'm here so maybe someone else won't have to lose theirs," says Kathy Brumfield.
The family says the trial date for Robert Norris has been postponed for now.
Coleman's mother is hoping her son's story helps put an end to this type of violence.
