Audiologists identify hearing loss with shocking new technology

May is National Hearing Month.
The Heuser Hearing Institute is a nationally recognized nonprofit hearing treatment and assessment center in downtown Louisville.
Keith Kaiser explores the facility and learns about the new technologies used to diagnose and treat hearing loss from a specially designed mannequin to a posture judgment board.
Also, basic diagnostic tests can reveal potential problems.

The not-for-profit Heuser Hearing Services Center makes quality, comprehensive hearing healthcare services available to any person in our community.
State-of-the-art audiological testing, hearing aid dispensing and rehabilitation services for children and adults.
Regional Cochlear Implant Center.
Speech and language evaluations and assessments provided for children and adults.
The tests Keith will be taking are mostly pain free, with only minor discomfort.
Heuser has the only facial nerve testing facility in the Louisville region.
Early intervention provided for children up to 3 years old who have hearing loss or speech delay.
Educational program for preschoolers and kindergartners experiencing hearing loss or speech delay.
There are laboratories in the Center operated by University of Louisville faculty members.
