Archery in schools on target with national tournament in Louisville

Keith Kaiser spent time with the Moore Traditional Archery Team as a major competition comes to town.

National Archery in the Schools National Tournament happens in the South Wing of the Kentucky Exposition Center this Friday and Saturday (May 11-12).

More than 5,500 archers from across the country will compete in this National Tournament in the elementary, middle, high school or individual divisions.

Through this national program, students in 4th through 12th grades are taught International Style Target Archery including archery history, safety, technique, equipment, mental concentration, core strengthening, physical fitness and self improvement.

The tournament times are Friday, May 11, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. & Saturday, May 12, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Kentucky Exposition Center South Wing

Admission: $5, adults 12 and over.

Free for children 11 and under.
