The Bats' Greg Galiette says there are special events all weekend including a Kid's Clinic on Saturday at 4:45 p.m. On Sunday, the Bats celebrate Mother's Day with all the WDRB moms, Candyce Clifft, Elizabeth Woolsey, Jennifer Baileys and Valerie Chinn throwing out the first pitch! They are also offering free mini-manicures for Moms.
The homestand is highlighted by the Budweiser Game Time Happy Hour on Thursday, Boy Scout Night and fireworks on Friday, Kids Clinic and The Zooperstars on Saturday and Mother's Day on Sunday.
On Mother's Day, ladies 16 and older may purchase a field reserved tickets for just $5 each. There will be a mini-spa set up in the Jackson Street picnic area for manicures and pedicures along with T-shirts for kids to write their personalized messages to their moms. Kids and their moms will also be allowed on the field after the game to play catch.
The Bats are in their 13th season at the downtown ballpark and have averaged 9,114 fans per game since its opening in 2000 through the 2011 season and have totaled over 7.7 million fans over 12 years. Last year, the Bats ranked second in all of Minor League Baseball in attendance at 8,716 fans per game.
