Kentucky Humane Society gets ready for annual Waggin' Trail fundraiser

This June, the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) will host its 18th annual fundraiser WAGGIN' TRAIL.  Kim Ulrich and Andrea Blair explain how hundreds of animal lovers to truly make a difference in the lives of needy animals.

The area's original walk for the animals will be held at EP Tom Sawyer Park on Saturday, June 2. The 5K timed run will begin at 9 a.m., with registration opening at 8 a.m. The 1-mile Fun Walk will begin at 10:00 a.m., with registration begin at 9:00 a.m.

The event will include pet-friendly and family-friendly activities, behavior demos, contests, vendor booths, music, food and much more!  Candyce Clifft is the honorary chair of the event.

Walkers, you can raise money for the animals and accumulate prizes as your collected pledges increase even before the event starts. At the WAGGIN' TRAIL, take a leisurely walk through the park's beautiful scenery, knowing you helped hundreds of needy pets!

And for the more competitive animal lovers, enjoy raising money for the animals by running in the 5K and competing to be the Fastest Male and Female Runners! Prizes will be awarded on the day of the event at our awards ceremony.

Not ready to walk or run in the 5K? Don't sweat it. Stay home and curl up in bed with your animals…and take a "cat nap." Once you submit your collected pledges to the Kentucky Humane Society, you can pick up any prizes you accumulate at one of our locations!

Become a WAGGIN' TRAIL Team Captain, individual participant, or donor today, and help thousands of pets looking for permanent, loving homes! When you register to participate in WAGGIN' TRAIL, you will receive a t-shirt and your own personalized fundraising web page. Using this online fundraising system, you can share your story, import your personal e-mail address book, send out invitations, and ask for support. You can even access reports to find out how you're doing along the way!
