Sunday's rain-out meant a rare double dip at Louisville Slugger Field Monday.
And it was a beautiful night for baseball...yea...let's play two.
Great defense early... IronPig shortstop Andres Blanco makes the diving stop, and then guns out
Sean Gallagher at 1st to end the 1st inning.
Then it's Louisville's turn... Dioner Navarro catches Michael Spidale trying to steal 2nd base.
The Bats offense got going in the 4th...Denis Phipps singles to center... that scores Willie Harris... 1-nothing Bats.
And then Bill Rhinehart takes a turn... his double off the left center field wall scores two more runs...Louisville puts up 5 in the 4th inning, and wins game one, 5-1.
Game two of the doubleheader under the lights at Louisville Slugger Field...
A lot of action in the first inning... Kevin Frandson singles to left for Lehigh Valley... Louisville's Felix Perez fields it cleanly, IronPigs Rich Thompson is coming around from second... and we have a play at the plate.... and the throw is on the money. Corky Miller with the tag for the out.
The Pigs get on the board in the first inning...
John Suomi drills a ball to the gap in right... that scores Frandson easily on the double... 1-nothing Lehigh Valley.
Louisville gets more from Bill Rhinehart... this home run ball gets out on a line to right field... the solo shot ties it at one but Lehigh Valley gets a split 4-3 over the Bats in game two.
