LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A Carrollton, Ky. girl who was reported missing Monday night has been found safe, according to a source with the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.
Faith Antoinette McBurney was discovered about five hours after a search for her began Tuesday morning. Police say she left home at 5 a.m. because she "needed to get away."
She was found at 10:23 a.m. sitting in the woods. She was less than a mile from her home, and was not hurt. Police say she was sitting by herself and didn't try to hide. Her family has asked law enforcement not to release many details.
Police had been asking for help in the search. Her family had last seen Faith at 11 p.m. Monday. She's a student at Carroll County Middle School.
