LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they made an unexpected discovery during a traffic stop late Monday night.
Officers say they saw Lucas Brandon and Eric Barnes sitting inside a vehicle in the parking lot of Inn Town Suites on Preston Hwy., near Oaklawn Drive.
Police say Brandon, the driver, appeared to be drunk.
When they confronted the pair, officers allegedly found numerous syringes and a small bag of heroin.
But that's not all officers allegedly found.
Police say they also discovered several stolen items, including multiple credit cards, six GPS units, nine cell phones, two iPods, numerous MP3 players, jewelry and digital cameras.
According to the arrest report, Brandon confessed that he property had been stolen during several vehicle break-ins. Police say items were stolen from vehicles at Planet Fitness (located on Jefferson Blvd. near the Outer Loop), the Fern Valley Hotel (located on Fern Valley Road, near I-65), Urban Active (located on Preston Hwy. near E. Indian Trail) and other locations.
Brandon was charged with -- among other things -- multiple counts of theft. Barnes is charged with multiple counts of receipt of stolen property.
