LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An employee of the Jefferson County Circuit Court Clerk's Office has been arrested after police say she exploited her brother's health condition so she could dip into his finances.

According to an arrest warrant, 40-year-old Jennifer Reardon was awarded guardianship of her brother from Aug. 1, 2009 to Nov. 1, 2011. Authorities say Reardon was given guardianship over her brother and his finances because of numerous health issues her brother faced.

Reardon was advised that her brother's income was to be spent, "only for his benefit and use," but police say she ignored these instructions, instead exploiting her brother and using roughly $17,000 of it on other things.

She was arrested shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday and charged with knowingly exploiting an adult.
