LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The mother of a 15-year-old murder victim should appear in arraignment court Thursday morning to answer several charges related to an attempted murder.
Kendra Wilson, mother of the slain Gregory Holt, is accused of the attempted murder of one of the three people later accused in the death of her son. She's charged with attempted murder, robbery, assault and intimidation of a witness.
Police say Wilson surrendered Wednesday evening.
She is accused of trying to kill James Mallory on April 10, one day before her son was found dead in his family's apartment on Clover Street, near Dixie Highway. Mallory has said he was shot in the leg in the altercation that occurred near Jacob Street.
Wilson is charged in that crime, along with William O'Bannon, who pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday.
Police believe Wilson, O'Bannon and another person wanted to kill Mallory because he was scheduled to testify in an attempted murder case against John "Hot Boy" Jones in April.
Police did not say if they believed Gregory Holt's murder to be in retaliation for the April 10 incident.
