Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association's national call to raise awareness of heart disease as women's No. 1 killer, and empower women with the knowledge they need to take charge of their health. Matt Roundtree of the American Heart Association and Theresa Byrd of Norton Women's Care will show you the simple, inexpensive tests that tell you whether you're at risk.
This year's Go Red For Women Luncheon will showcase a Macy's survivor fashion show featuring Kentuckiana women with ties to heart disease. HBO Comedian Jan McInnis will share laughs as she encourages women to know their numbers and take charge of their heart health. Norton Women's Care will be on hand to provide health screenings as well as host an educational breakout session.
Tickets to the luncheon include the breakout session, networking exhibits, free health screenings and a heart-healthy lunch. Tickets are $125 each. For more info, call (502) 371-6023 or click here.

Heart disease and stroke are the greatest health threats women face. They are the No. 1 and No. 4 killers of women over age 20. Sadly, only two in 10 women perceive heart disease to be their greatest health risk.
Heart disease is largely preventable - it only takes the power to become aware of the risks and make the right choices to prevent it. That is why the Go Red For Women movement calls on women to make it their mission to make the right choices to change the statistics and save lives.
